My Biography
Pat Benattar
Manager Reptizoo Inc
I often get asked how this all began. Reptizoo, formerly Fine Line Serpents, grew out of my lifelong interest in nature and especially reptiles.
I have always preferred seeing animals in their natural habitats and because my main interest was reptiles, living in Quebec really limited that experience.
Even as a kid, I always had pet reptiles. I would spend hours planting natural environments for my pets. I would imagine these fascinating creatures in the far off rainforests of Central America or the deserts of faraway places.
I can remember sitting in the family room watching tv with my parents and siblings and out of the corner of my eye seeing my escaped gecko running across the ceiling. Thankfully, no one else noticed! Fast forward to about 1993, living with my wife and kids and a basement full of various terrariums. Every time my parents had guests from out of town, they would visit my “zoo”. I would tell them all about the reptilian residents and found that everyone was always very interested. At that point, I was working full time in an office and I decided one day to create a flyer for birthday parties, etc. Since that day, back in 1993, there has been no turning back.
Testimonials
Big thanks to the team at Reptizoo! Not only was communicating and booking simple and easy, they showed up on time and were super professional. You can tell they do this to educate and are passionate about the animals. Their presenter Stephanie was amazing too. She was animated with the kids and informative at the same time. She was able to capture the attention of 10 four year olds easily, and they all listened intently and were very captivated by everything she said. The presentation is very interactive and she takes her time to make sure every single person has a chance to touch or hold the animals. I would 100% recommend this for any kind of event, even the adults were really interested! And the price is very reasonable for the quality and length of the presentation.s.
Pat and his Reptizoo animals were a huge hit at my son’s 5th birthday party! Not only did the kids enjoy the experience but so did the parents. Pat was patient with the “wiggly” 5 years and made sure that each of them had a chance to touch or hold the animals. I would highly recommend Reptizoo for any birthday party! I even booked them for my husband’s 30th birthday! You’re never too old to hold a 9-foot long python!!
Pat at Reptizoo is an absolute legend at wrangling little people – even a huge group of unruly five year olds – and somehow manages to get them not only excited and engaged, but QUIET and SEATED. Despite our huge group, Pat was able to actually connect with each kid, and teach them a tonne of interesting facts. He also took the time to make the birthday boy feel extra special. It’s clear he enjoys what he does. In planning the party, Pat was friendly, accommodating and easy to communicate with. Can’t recommend Reptizoo highly enough! Thanks Pat!!s.
Reptizoo once again provided a fun filled and engaging afternoon for our program participants. They were attentive and patient with each child and ensuring everyone had the best experience possible!
Pat Benattar made a presentation to the residents at James Street in May 2019. It was an amazing and fascinating experience of a lifetime. Pat has an incredible knowledge of his reptile friends. He has a very entertaining way in how he presents the unique characteristics of the various reptiles he showcased. Pat is an engaging presenter. He encourages us to connect with the reptiles and through this, we were able to appreciate these living creatures and their contribution to life on our planet, past present and future. I highly recommend his presentation and I am confident you will enjoy him as much as we did!
